Workout Wednesdays!

 Hey everyone! Beginning Wednesday, September 28 and every Wednesday thereafter there will be OPEN track at Washington High School in Pensacola, FL. The track will be open from 7-9 pm. Lights will be ON and bathrooms will be available. All runners are invited to come and run on Washington’s new TopTrax – Latex surface. Various workouts will be available or you may choose to just run laps. Unfortuantely at this time, the track will not be open to walkers. Whiteside finishes 8th
at USATF Masters Cross-Country Nationals

 Everett Whiteside (Pensacola, Florida) finished 8th overall at the USATF Masters Cross-Country National Championships held in San Diego, CA on February 5, 2011. The meet featured some of the best master-runners in the nation and was the official US national competition. Whiteside Wins Bushwacker 5k

August 7, 2010 Whiteside Wins Bushwacker 5k The race, which stretched from Shoreline Park in Gulf Breeze to Quietwater Beach, was part of the three-day Bushwacker & Music Festival held each year at Pensacola Beach. A familiar face led Saturday’s pack.

Washington High Cross-Country coach Everett Whiteside, a frequent local competitor, claimed first place with a time of 15:41. One of his students, 17-year-old Ian Bordelon, took second place with 16:08.

Whiteside Blindsides Competition

Washington’s Everett Whiteside, the News Journal’s 2009 Cross-Country coach of the year, blew past the competition last week to win the 10,000-meter at the 2010 USA Masters National Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Sacramento, California.

Whiteside, who turned 40 in May, finished the race in 33:05.33, more than 24 seconds faster than runner-up, Chad Newton of North Carolina. The veteran coach also finished second in the 5,000-meter race in 15:47.63.
